GM Parella Automotive Fabric
The world’s only source for the correct cloth for your Knight Rider replica!
When it came time to recover a set of PMD seats for a customer about five years ago, we were dismayed to see that the available seat covers were made using a completely inaccurate, sparkly velour material. To most, this variation wouldn’t bother them. But to us, it completely ruined the entire look of the interior. At the time, one fabric supplier had a minimal supply of NOS Parella cloth sourced from GM in the ’80s, but it was quite expensive – over $100 per yard and you need 10 yards to recover the entire interior! So, we started looking at other options.
With a swatch of NOS fabric in hand, we reached out to a significant fabric manufacturer to see if they could re-create the material and they did! We’ve sold enough of our reproduction fabric to recover 100 cars so far, and we have enough in stock to recover 100 more! This fabric is an EXACT match to the original GM Camel Tan Parella fabric from 1982 but made slightly thicker to ensure that it stands the test of time.
