Knight Rider Pilot Replica Build
Follow along as we build the most accurate Knight Rider Season 1 KITT Pilot car that has ever been produced. What we are building here at KSR is an outwardly appearing exact replica of the original Hero Car that Michael Scheffe delivered to Universal Studios in 1982. Details such as the clear windshield with the rearview mirror mount still intact, the antenna stub in the fender, the original square voicebox, and so on, will make this car stand out among the other replicas out there. Of particular interest is the scanner, which is being custom-built using the original 1982 studio schematics, which has never been done before.
We say “outwardly appearing exact replica” because, under the hood, the car will have enhancements the likes of which have never been seen before on a K.I.T.T. replica. With a budget of $125k – $150k, we are sparing no expense in bringing K.I.T.T. to life the way he should be. All new upgraded Spohn suspension, a bulletproof 8.8 rear end, a 500hp 383 Stroker motor, and more. This car will have the muscle to back the looks! Keep checking back regularly to follow us along our journey.
