Knight Rider Shadow Box
In 2017, we offered a limited run of our exclusive 8″ x 8″ shadow boxes containing actual pieces from our screen used “Knight Rider” car. The first run was limited to 30 units, each hand-numbered, and they quickly sold out.
We’ve decided to do another run of them, this time-limited to 20 units. Each box is hand numbered once again and features four pieces that were removed from our original KITT during its 2012 preservation.
This car was used towards the end of season three and throughout season four. It’s the same car that was featured on “Jay Leno’s Garage” in 2018 and on “Good Morning America” with David Hasselhoff in 2019.
The bits include:
– a piece of KITT’s original window tint (check out the scene in “Fright Knight” where KITT says, “I’m wearing my shades.” That’s our car, and that’s the window tint!)
– a chip of KITT’s original paint, removed from our peeling, original rubber front bumper
– a piece of KITT’s original windshield surround
– a swatch of original carpet (used when the car was on display at the studio – it’s darker than the camel tan we are all used to!)
Once these twenty boxes are gone, that’s the end of the run for this time! We will be fulfilling these shadow box orders in numerical order, meaning that order #1 gets box #1, etc.
