Knight Rider Season 3-4 K.I.T.T.’S Voice Box Bezel
This aluminum voicebox bezel was acquired in 2011 and was previously installed on one of the cars that Universal Studios had on display inside its theme park back in the ’80s and ’90s. The 10mm x 20mm LEDs are still intact and functional, except for one of the LEDs removed to make room for a small microphone. This microphone was used to capture the tourist’s voices while someone off stage had a conversation with them as KITT. If you notice, the same missing LED can be seen in the dash’s picture when it was still on display at Universal. Amazingly, power was supplied to the bezel, and all LEDs lit up beautifully.
Unfortunately, the NORMAL, AUTO, and PURSUIT LEDs were gone, as were the bar graph arrays that made up K.I.T.T’s “voice.”
